Understanding Infertility
Female Infertility — Causes & Solutions
From ovulation disorders to blocked tubes, most female fertility issues are identified with a handful of tests — and nearly all have an established treatment path.
₹5–12k Assessment
35+? Test at 6 Months

The Three-Test Assessment
An AMH blood test (how many eggs remain), an ultrasound with antral follicle count (confirms reserve, examines ovaries and uterus), and a tubal patency test (are the tubes open). A few days, ₹5,000–12,000, and every decision that follows has a foundation.
If you’re 35+, don’t wait the customary twelve months of trying — six months without success is reason enough, and earlier evaluation preserves more options.
The Eight Main Causes
Tap any treatment link to see how each is addressed.
PCOS
The most common ovulation disorder — up to 1 in 5 Indian women. Highly treatable: lifestyle, ovulation induction, IUI, or IVF for resistant cases.
Endometriosis
Lining tissue outside the uterus — inflammation, pain, damage to eggs and tubes. Laparoscopy helps natural conception; IVF works well in advanced disease. Consider egg freezing before ovarian surgery.
Blocked Fallopian Tubes
Egg and sperm simply can’t meet. Minor blocks are sometimes repaired; otherwise IVF bypasses the tubes completely.
Ovulation Disorders Beyond PCOS
Thyroid, prolactin, weight extremes, chronic stress. Blood tests find the cause; targeted medication usually restores ovulation.
Fibroids & Polyps
Cavity growths block implantation. Hysteroscopic removal is short, and measurably improves natural and IVF success.
Age-Related Egg Decline
Gentle through the early 30s, steep after 37 — fertility’s strongest factor. If the plan is “later”, egg freezing preserves today’s quality.
Premature Ovarian Insufficiency
Slowdown before 40, caught early by AMH. Urgent preservation, IVF with own eggs, or donor-egg IVF depending on reserve.
Recurrent Miscarriage
Two or more losses warrant systematic investigation — many causes treatable; PGT-A with IVF helps select healthy embryos.
Treatment Paths
Ovulation induction with timed cycles or IUI · laparoscopy or hysteroscopy for structural issues · IVF when tubes are blocked or simpler treatment hasn’t worked · egg freezing whenever the plan says “later” but biology says “sooner”. The pattern across every cause
Earlier testing means more options and gentler treatments. The couples with the hardest journeys are rarely those who tested too soon.
